The fastest offshore racing boat in the UK – meet Concise 10.  The Multi One Design 70 Trimaran offers premier ocean racing to the worlds best.

MOD 70 was originally intended as a one design class penned to replace the successful ORMA 60s.  Equally well suited to MOCRA racing and breaking speed records these high tech carbon fibre machines leave little to the imagination.  With curved ‘C’ style daggerboards and canting rigs these boats are both faster and safer than their predecessors.  With maximum speeds of up to 40 knots and full ocean racing capabilities, the MOD 70 is a force to be reckoned with.

Team Concise also races two Class40 boats. Built within the restriction of a ‘box rule’, these yachts now make up the most successful offshore racing class in the world. There are now over 150 Class40’s on the water.

Our most recent Class40, Concise8, was developed in 2012 following the teams success on the circuit and their need to remain competitive in the ever evolving class.  Project managed by Ned Collier Wakefield, the team set out to develop a state of the art racing machine.  The concept was to use techniques developed during Americas cup, IMOCA 60 and Volvo Ocean Race campaigns albeit at a more affordable cost. McConaghy Boats in China produced the tooling and built Concise 8, the first boat of what is planned as a production run.

Concise 2 started life as team Concise’s second Class40 – an Akilaria RC2 production model.  She has raced tens of thousands of miles including  a Route du Rhum and two Transat Jacques Vabre’s, she also held the 40ft round Britain and Ireland Record and has won numerous classics including the RORC 600.  Despite being a second generation Class40 Concise 2 is a fast boat with good pedigree, and as proven time and time again can mix it up with the front of the fleet.
